I have a few updates about my forthcoming short story collection. First, it is now titled Siblings and Other Disappointments. Going through the renaming journey was exciting and surprisingly gut-wrenching, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I’ll write more on the titling process sometime in the future because it is a very important part of bringing a book to fruition.
Also, my book will officially be born on Tuesday, October 11th. I like this date a lot because in elementary school my classmates and I had to be assigned numbers, and I was Katie H. #11. It just feels right.
I’ll have more news to share over the next few months, including the book cover! The designers are hard at work, and I am very excited to see the finished cover.
Also, I saw these birds yesterday near my apartment, so winter hasn’t been all that bad.
